Inspiration for perverts… I mean typographers…
I have this theory about all great typographers being somewhat like sexual deviants. You might hear a teacher or a fellow designer state something like this:
“Aww man, what a fit font!”, or “That font is sexy!”
usually followed by gestures like “squeezing” the curves of a glyph. This made me think about the relationship of the designer and his type. I believe a typographer – usually the male ones – dresses his type in a similar fashion as he would dress himself on night out. Peacocking, huh?
